Audio-Technica has introduced a straight-cable version, ATH-M50s, of its flagship ATH-M50 headphones. Designed to provide an exceptionally natural response for professional monitoring/mixing, the headphones feature a closed-back, collapsible design with 45 mm neodymium drivers, circumaural ear pieces (180° swivel) and luxuriously padded ear cushions. I've had these phones for about a year.
Sound:
The highs are well controlled and extended but not harsh.
The mid range is a bit recessed but very smooth.
The lows are well extended and very well controlled.

The closed design works very well and very little sound leakage is present.
Comfort:
The only flaw I have found with these phones is that after about 30-40 minutes, my ears begin to sweat do to the material used for the pads.
