Audio-Technica has introduced a straight-cable version, ATH-M50s, of its flagship ATH-M50 headphones. Designed to provide an exceptionally natural response for professional monitoring/mixing, the headphones feature a closed-back, collapsible design with 45 mm neodymium drivers, circumaural ear pieces (180° swivel) and luxuriously padded ear cushions. ATH-M50 Vs ATH-ANC7

I have two ANC7's that I use for travel and some mixing.
I also use an AKG K240M for mixing and listening.

Can you characterize the sonic differences (I know it's subjective) between the ANC7 and the M50? What headphones do you recommend for mixing/mastering and general listening?

ANC7 Vs ANC7b headphones

I have two sets of the ANC7 headphones, as my wife would not give me my original set back after trying them on a flight. What is the difference between the two versions? What would be the audible differences? I use them both in the home an on aircraft.

Audio-Technica’s newscaster-style omnidirectional ATR3350 lavalier is engineered for intelligible, accurate voice reproduction. This high-quality condenser is ideal for video use, and is a favorite choice for aerobics/dance/sports instructors. Its low-profile design assures minimum visibility.

How well will the ATR3350 work for violin pick-up?

I'm looking for a budget lavalier to clip to a violin to provide live sound reinforcement. Reasonably low distortion is important. Perfectly flat response is not. Will not be used for recording.
