the ATH-ANC7b says impactful bass, is the bass reception more solid and developed than the bose QC15??? because i returned those so try these!

i am very interested in buying the ATH-ANC7b, i just want to know how the bass is, because that is why i returned the bose, just not enough. I want to be convinced these will be more than the bose.
I just purchased the ATH-ANC7b and find a big difference in the music balance, level and sound leakage between noise canceling being on or off. When it's off there is much more bass, almost no sound leakage but level is much lower. When on, the music level and leakage go way up, and most of the bass goes away. This is probably a necessary effect of the way noise canceling has to work in a headphone. I can live with this as long as I only use noise canceling when there's enough noise to justify it and leakage won't matter. In a quiet office environment, better to leave it off.
BTW, the ear cushions were supposed to have more room inside than the previous model, but these came with the old style cushion. Also the headband doesn't extend far enough to fit me, and when extended the phones don't fit the carrying case.
